Enterprise mobile apps should be as simple and functional as their consumer equivalents

From what we have observed in the mobile enterprise space, many businesses invest in mobile enterprise apps with the promise of improved employee engagement and productivity. But employees are also consumers after all, and in our opinion enterprise apps that most closely resemble a fantastic and memorable consumer app experience, will win the hearts and minds of staff. Popular and attractive design of consumer apps such as Evernote, WhatsApp, Dropbox, and various social media tools should be the benchmark for enterprise mobile apps. At the end of the day, mobile business solutions that are difficult to use will only hinder user adoption and productivity. There is a reason why certain consumer apps have gained popularity, and why should enterprise apps be any different?
